New favorite things!



This week has been all about making healthier food choices.  Lean proteins, lots of whole grains, fruits and vegetables .. and plenty of water!

Two finds that I tried this week that I'm raving about!  Unpaid endorsement to follow ...

Popchips - Sweet Potato and Luna Fiber Bars - Chocolate Raspberry flavor!

One salty, one sweet .. well sorta.  At least that's how I use them.  The pop chips are a great side to pack for my lunch with a pita sandwich, and the Luna bar is a great mid-afternoon pick me up.

Day 16: Six Word Memoir

"Thought about stopping, then ran harder." Day 16 for the Blogember challenge is a 6-word memoir. And I'm back

Right now on the downslide to 2018 there are some things that need to change.  I can feel them in my bones, in my heart and on my mind!  This is going to be the year of me.  Feeling, doing, loving better than I have before.... not wondering, resting and being cautious! This image is the inspiration I need.  The critic is the inner critic.  And i'm done listening to her.  Here's what I know.  I'm braver and stronger than I ever imagined.  When someone says I can't do something I say, 'just watch me."  So here goes. 2018 feeling better feeling stronger being curious being bold taking adventures taking time to do it right

Day 23: My Reverse Bucket List

Oh the commitment to Blogember - has enabled me to look forward to writing each day.  And during a random day off from work yesterday,  I was thinking, 'how can I continue this writing through the end of the year .. at least?"  This has been a wonderful gift to me, enabling me to have a reason to write - not about the accomplishments that occur or even capturing the mundane moments - but the commitment to write on a pre-chosen topic has become a discipline that I believe I would miss if I stopped just because the calendar changes to December. More to come on that … My Reverse Bucket list is a new concept to me.  I once did the Bucket List exercise with a friend choosing 10 things a day that we sent back and forth over email.  Our lists reached 100 and when forced to come up with ten new ones a day I was sometimes surprised what showed up.
