Its been a long time ...

I admit it's been weeks since I've run. They say admitting it is the first step, right?  I've allowed the rest of my life to take over and not made time to run.  Today was different. I started off with a walk for the entire first mile.  But I ran after that and finished strong!  And boy are my legs shaky now .... but it's lunch time and I'll make a wonderfully protein-filled lunch! I feel accomplished and proud that I didn't just fall off the cliff and let months go by.  Yes, several weeks have passed.  I spent many hours studying instead of running.  But studying is done for a bit, so I believe it's time to lace up these running shoes and make a difference!

Learning to roll with in

The last few weeks have been torture for my running routine.  I haven't run more than once in the last two weeks.  And of course dailymile.com weekly recap is happy to remind of that!  Pressure, guilt, torture I say! I've been eating pretty healthy .. and happily that has maintained me, but I miss running.  I know we make choices every day .. and these days I've chosen to study for an upcoming exam.  I have my fingers crossed that I pass it the first time on Monday morning! {good vibes needed} So last night at the end of the long week, after arriving home with daughter, my husband said, "What do you think about trying that Mexican restaurant I told you about?"  That was music to my ears.  To be honest it meant no running and no studying.  But it meant a delicious meal I didn't have to cook or clean up after.  I could converse with my husband and help my daughter with her chapter book all while sipping a margarita. It felt pretty darn good!
